PureSynq is designed for pool service professionals. We collect only the data necessary to provide our service and never sell your information to third parties.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: Name, email address, and company information when you register
- Customer data: Names, addresses, contact information for your pool service customers
- Service records: Pool service reports, chemical readings, and service history
- Billing data: Invoice information, payment records, and accounts receivable data
- QuickBooks data: When you connect QuickBooks, we access customer, invoice, estimate, and payment information from your QuickBooks account
- Usage data: How you interact with the application to improve our service
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the PureSynq service
- Send automated invoices and service reports on your behalf
- Sync billing data with QuickBooks Online
- Send transactional emails (verification, password reset, service reports)
- Respond to support requests
- Ensure the security and integrity of the service
3. QuickBooks Integration & Data
When you connect your QuickBooks Online account to PureSynq:
- We access your QuickBooks data using Intuit's secure OAuth 2.0 authorization
- We store OAuth tokens securely in Firebase to maintain your connection
- We cache your accounts receivable data locally to provide fast access
- We create invoices, estimates, and payments in QuickBooks on your behalf
- We never delete or modify existing QuickBooks records
- When you disconnect QuickBooks, all cached QB data is immediately deleted from our systems
Your QuickBooks data is governed by Intuit's Privacy Statement in addition to this policy.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), hosted in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Secure authentication via Firebase Auth
- Role-based access control — you can only access your own company's data
- Secure storage of API credentials using Google Cloud Secret Manager
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:
- Intuit/QuickBooks: When you connect your QuickBooks account and request billing operations
- SendGrid: To send service report emails and transactional notifications
- Google Firebase: For data storage, authentication, and hosting
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our legal rights
6. Your Customer's Data
As a pool service company using PureSynq, you are responsible for the data you enter about your customers. You should ensure you have appropriate authorization to store and process your customers' personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Service reports and invoice records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and accounting purposes.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Export your data in a portable format
- Disconnect third-party integrations at any time
9. Cookies
PureSynq uses session cookies for authentication purposes only. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
10. Children's Privacy
PureSynq is a professional business application not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
